Our Retreat Sanctuary

Haramara, our eco luxury retreat center for the week, means “Mother Sea” in the native Huichol language. Etymologically, “hara” is womb and “mara” is both sea and mother. Mother Sea is the place where all things are received and where all things are released. It’s the place where everything begins and where everything ends. Mother Sea, Haramara, is the womb of life.

It’s rare to find sanctuaries that hold you in both sweet elegance and also raw nature, and Haramara is precisely that. Set on 12 acres of private land, with lush jungle and a golden sand beach, most of the property is completely untouched and wild. This will be our third year at Haramara and the energy of our past groups is anchored into the body of the land and welcomes us as soon as we arrive into the magic.

Nestled into the hills are eco luxury cabanas named after precious stones (Amethyst, Malachite, Rose Quartz, Obsidian) with open air bathrooms and hot water showers. The cabanas are fully off-grid and lit by candles and oil lamps at night which creates an incredibly magical atmosphere and a natural transition into deep sleep and powerful dreams. The sense of privacy, quietude, and peace you feel on this land is unparalleled. It’s a space to receive the deepest reset from Mother Earth.

In addition to our eco luxury cabanas, we have a stunning circular yoga shala equipped with Manduka yoga mats, blankets, blocks, bolsters, sound system, and tropical flowers all around. We also have a chlorine-free saltwater infinity pool and jet tub just below the restaurant with expansive ocean views, lounge areas to read, journal, and reflect, a spa offering a multitude of healing services, and our own wild private beach with clear Pacific Ocean waters and epically gorgeous sunsets.

Just a few miles away from our retreat center through a jungle path, is the magical town of Sayulita known for surfing, artisanal products, Huichol art pieces, and high end local boutiques.
