Our Soul Journey

Who are we… truly? What lives deep in the center of our suffering, hiding as sacred treasures waiting to be reclaimed? What medicine, wisdom, and gnosis wants to be remembered within us, to liberate humanity back to the freedom of our personal and collective Eden? Together we live, breathe, dance, shake, vision quest, channel, summon, weave, sing, and pray these questions into being.

Our journey through body and soul is inspired by the mythology of Eden and the story of Lilith & Eve in their many incarnations as the sacred keepers of the red thread and the tree of life. We spiral through this red thread into the Goddesses of Ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Sumeria, and the Middle East, to piece back together the story of sacred womanhood and the way of the Priestess. Each day we are guided by archetypes and mythologies of women who truly embody the gnosis of the red river, sacred menstruation, and the way of the awakened heart-womb.

This is our spiral journey together…

Asherah: The Tree of Life

Before God was just a “He” God was also “She.” We begin our journey with the Great Mother Goddess herself, known as Asherah to the Canaanites and wife to Father God Yahweh in the Old Testament. It is believed that the Tree of Life in the story of Eden is Asherah herself, the fertile potential of a woman’s body and the blueprint of Mother nature that we all contain through our sexuality. Asherah offers us a powerful and magical doorway into the roots of our collective wound of separation, “the daughter wound,” and through embracing Her we remember our inseparable connection with life itself.

Nammu & Tiamat: Dragons of Creation

Ancient Goddess creation stories describe the Earth as being born from primordial dragons of water and fire. Volcanic lava emerging from the depths of the churning ocean and creating islands, land, and all that would one day come to be. These dragons offer us magical keys to our own primordial water and fire elements, grief and rage, restoration and transformation, showing us how we rebirth ourselves through our elemental nature. With Tiamat, the dragon of fire, and Nammu, the dragon of water, as our guides, we go beyond the stories and the ideas and penetrate down deep into the body to let our own elemental nature purify, revive, and heal us on the deepest level.

Eve & Lilith: Original Sin

Within every woman exists the dual nature of life, often described as the red river and the white river. Passionate and pure. Animal and angel. Wild and holy. We can trace back this duality to the time of the Garden and our original creation story as two women wed to Adam: Lilith (the first woman) and Eve. After leaving Adam, Lilith returns as the snake in the garden who comes to tempt Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of life, initiating us into the wisdom of the womb, our wild sensuality, sacred menstruation, kundalini awakening, and everything that has been described as “sin” which in fact draws us closer to the truth of our nature.

Hathor & Sehkmet: Voice of the Womb

Some of the most potent and profound wisdom of the secrets of creation and the workings of the womb can be discovered through apprenticing ourselves to our own lunar and solar nature. Biologically imprinted in the womb space through the right and left (solar and lunar) ovaries, these elemental voices attune us deeply to our innermost discernment. As the voice of the womb herself, Hathor is the iconic Goddess of renewal and healing through sensual celebration, purifying all with her milky moonlight. Hathor’s twin sister Sehkmet is her complementary, the solar Goddess of fire and rage, that acts as the fierce protectress of all that is sacred. We need both to be whole and to fully inhabit the loving power of the womb.

Inanna & Erishkigal: The Underworld Descent

The Priestess is the one who unites the worlds, traversing the cosmic magic of upperworld and plunging into the dark wounding of underworld, integrating all into middleworld of Heaven on Earth. In the classic hymn of Inanna’s Descent, we meet the Goddess in her time of darkness and despair, as she descends into the depths of Hell to meet her evil twin. This is the dark night of the womb that every awakened woman is initiated through. It is the time where we become intimate with our greatest fears and pain, to become Queens of our own darkness and to own our own inner demons. This is a path of radical empowerment and love, a spiral path that will meet us many times in life. Through this process we learn how to harness our power in service of love and to shed all that no longer serves the Queendom of compassion.

Isis: Rebirth

As the emblem of Rebirth, Mother Goddess Isis of ancient Egypt apprentices us back into our magical powers to heal all of existence through the embrace of our sexuality and our love. Known as “Queen of the throne” Isis is Queen of the womb, meaning she has mastered the terrain of the underworld and reclaimed herself as the Creatrix of all life. With Isis as our guide, we recollect the fragments and pieces of ourselves that have been forgotten, shamed, denied, and dismembered, and through the power of our breath, our bodies, and our sensuality, we welcome them back home into the embrace of radical love.

Mary Magdalene: Heart Womb Awakening

The more we are refined and mastered through the spiral path of the deep feminine, the greater the invitation to keep choosing love. Again and again. The Magdalene within us offers us her red rose path back to the radiant magnetic heart womb of love, where power and innocence have never been and could never be separate. Our Magdalene essence dissolves all sin, all forgetting, all resentments, all dishonors and betrayals, by restoring the true nature that we all contain as both human and divine. Together we activate, awaken, and open the heart-womb, the energetic organ that unites our red river with our white river, our wild passion with our tender love, to be the healing nectar that sets everyone free.

Sophia: Self Gnosis

We complete our journey together on Easter, the day of the Rebirth of Christ, to reclaim the feminine Christ that dwells within us all. Through the infinitely expansive loving reflection of Mother Sophia, the Divine Feminine, we return to the wisdom and the insight of God that has never been separate from us, can never be taken from us, and that is the magical secret key in healing all that has ever been forgotten. Together we apprentice ourselves to ourselves, turning inward to the wisdom of the Source of Creation that is our nature, asking Her to guide us into the next steps on our path.
