Do you fear what you might discover if you descend to the depths of your womb and face your dragon power there?
Let’s be honest… until we’ve learned to ride these inner dragons and harness their powers, ALL women fear this place within themselves.
They fear it because of ancient and many lifetime memories of trauma held there, AND because they know (on a cellular level) it holds the power to create and destroy.
At the same time… this is what we’re made for.
women are designed to seek our inner darkness and rebirth the world through our erotic power.
In menarche we first taste this power, through the red river of our blood and our first sexual desire.
Through menstruation every moon we withdraw into darkness, dissolve in the void, summon our creative power, and rebirth the light for the well being of all.
In menopause, we embody this power and hold the torch to guide the community.
But instead of revere this holy process, we live in a time when women are taught to fear and avoid our dark power at all costs, and in turn become victims of the dark agendas of others.
Dismantling patriarchy depends on women’s sexual awakening. (Read that again.)
The sad truth is, most women’s eroticism was formed through being sexualized as girls coming of age.
Our initial descent to the underworld, our sexual awakening, our onset of menarche, which coincides with our dark ripening, was more often initiated through abuse rather than safe sacred rites of passage into womanhood.
Most women experienced many forms of sexual violation, and all women inherited this imprint in the collective.
Consequently, we’ve learned through the demonization of our power and the violation of our wombs, to abandon the very source within us that redeems this imbalance and heals our world.
As we now know… it wasn’t always like this…
Once upon a time women were the guardians of our own wombs, the initiatrixes of our own eroticism and knew how to guide ourselves and assist young girls through these rites of passage into our power.
One of the most insidious ways patriarchy has maintained control, is through harvesting the wombs of women, beginning with girls coming of age.
If we truly want to birth a new culture, one of harmony, equality, beauty, freedom, and unity, we must first reclaim our sovereignty.
