In Ancient Greece the Goddess who ruled this domain was known as Aphrodite. Aphrodite is the Greek Venus, the morning star who ancient cultures witnessed forming the pattern of a rose in the night sky through her ascents and descents, her rises and falls.

Venus is the emblem of a feminine radiance that survives the descent to the underworld, and is the light that dawns at the end of the darkest night. Seasonally, she is the abundance that comes on the other side of the death of winter, through the fertility of spring seeding that bursts into a sumptuous summer full bloom.

Aphrodite herself was born through a death, as her father Uranus’ phallus was castrated by his son Cronus, and descended down into the depths of the churning sea, the great Mother, the womb. From the sea foam Aphrodite was born, fully grown and emanating a beauty that the world had never seen.

Aphrodite is the heralding of a Golden Age of unity, beauty, abundance, pleasure, and love, that can only truly come through rebirth.

Beyond the stories, Aphrodite is a frequency of inherent worthiness rooted in the source of life, who knows herself to be endlessly connected to both the Heavenly and Earthly realms as a daughter of creation. Aphrodite holds the golden key for our remembering that our worthiness comes from one place: the realization of who and what we are which at its heart is the true purpose of every death and rebirth.

Awakening Aphrodite is a temple in devotion to this remembering first and foremost within ourselves, as a blessing that changes the frequency of our lives, relationships, and collectively our entire world.

Together for five weeks we let ourselves be held in the temple of Aphrodite with our circle of sisters, to receive our own rebirth in the oceanic womb of Goddess, where we remember the true inherent sacredness, worthiness, and blessing of the whole feminine nature within us, as life.
