Our Journey of Remembrance
Our journey together in Medicine Women is inspired by the Native American, Meso American, Celtic, and Egyptian Womb Cross Medicine Wheels that bring us into right relationship with the nature that we live in and with the nature that we are.
We explore the totality of our nature through the ancient Tree of Life in the underworld, the middleworld, the upperworld, and we spiral through the elements of creation in the fire, water, earth, and air. We heal with the polarities of masculine and feminine through the archetypes of Mother Earth and our motherline, and Father Sky and our fatherline, as the anchors that hold us in our rebirth.
Through remembering all facets of life and all facets of ourselves as sacred, we weave ourselves back into the harmonic dance of existence, and we rebirth Heaven and Earth in holy union. We make whole that which has never been separate, and rebelong ourselves to our deep feminine Source.
This is our spiral path together…
Gateway i:
Priestess of the Tree of Life
As we begin our medicine wheel spiral journey, we open into the multi-dimensional nature of all life through the ancient shamanic mapping system of the Tree of Life where we cross the gateways of the three worlds: The Underworld, The Middleworld, The Upperworld.
The Tree of Life comes from many cultures across the world as a template of the mysteries of life, death, and rebirth. The tree receives its nourishment from the deep fertile dark soil below and also through the light illumination of the sun and the sky above.
Standing as the pillar at the center, ancient cultures saw the tree of life as the bridge between the higher and lower dimensions, between the spiritual and the physical. This will be our first doorway as we enter into the mystery together, and reclaim the true Priestess path.
Gateway ii:
Priestess of the Motherline
We begin where all life begins, in the womb of Mother, deep in the belly of the primordial feminine. Here we root into our physical bodies and sensual nature, to soften and surrender into our direct connection with the sustenance of life.
As women born into this time of deep feminine resurrection, within lineages that include the inheritance of feminine oppression, many of us have learned to disconnect ourselves from the feminine in order to be safe in the world. But feminine reclamation is what is now required for true power to rise and reign again in the Queendom of love.
Together we will meet with the Mother Goddess of the body and the Earth, and explore our relationship with our motherline and the womb that birthed us. Through rebelonging ourselves to deep feminine source and the true Mother of life, we ground and anchor into the fertile soil of unconditional love, safety, sanctuary, and abundance that is our birthright.
Gateway iii:
Priestess of the Sacred Flame
Many ancient creation stories describe all life as being woven by four elemental dragons. These dragons are guardians and gatekeepers of primordial feminine power which is elemental, emotional, and sensual, and exists within a woman’s womb as a mirror of the womb of life. Awakening and harnessing this dragon power is essential for a woman to walk through the world in an empowered way with an authentically open heart.
Now that we have rooted ourselves into feminine source through The Mother, we begin our elemental voyage with the Elemental Fire Dragon of Creation. In the cauldron of fire we become Priestesses of our own Sacred Inner Flame through opening the power vault of our rage which is the doorway to our love. We meet the compromises we have made that make our fire go dim and we roar for the essential passion inside of us that ignites a revolution in love.
Gateway iv:
Priestess of the Healing Waters
With too much fire we will not only ignite the world, we will burn the world down. And much of our world has been burned into the times once known by our ancestors as the desolate wastelands, where no rivers flow and no life will grow.
There are stories about the priestesses who guarded our most sacred waterways and knew the sweet waters as the fountains of life. These waters are also the fluids and rivers of menstrual blood and the holy springs of amrita, female orgasm, believed to bless one with immortality.
Emerging from the fire, we regenerate the wastelands with the Elemental Water Dragon of Creation, through the rivers of our own grief, blessing ourselves with forgiveness through the violations that we have done and that have been done to us, our Earth, and our ancestors, as we become the Priestesses of the Healing Waters once again.
Gateway v:
Priestess of the Womb of Earth
As we come closer to the source, we settle deeper into Earth, into the rocks of the planet and the bones in our bodies that connect us with the ancients across space and time. Our ancient cultures knew that one must descend in order to ascend, and it is by entering the darkness of below that we open into the light above.
With the Elemental Earth Dragon of Creation, we descend into the soil and stone, into the womb of Earth and the origins of where we come from. Here we meet our fears of loss, endings, and hardships, and the doubt in life after death. We call upon our ancestors who have crossed the veil between life and death, for the faith and trust to enter into the darkness for regeneration and rebirth. As we source life within the land of death, we emerge as Priestesses of the Womb of Earth.
Gateway vi:
Priestess of the Fatherline
Many of us have incurred injuries through outer expressions of the masculine, through various forms of violation, abandonment, rejection, and control. These injuries and places of distrust may have come through our relationship with our blood fathers, with brothers, with sexual partners, with mentors, with governments, with the patriarchy, or with the masculine face of God.
Deep feminine resurrection includes the surfacing of repressed grief and rage towards the oppressive masculine structures within us and outside of us, as we face a very old imbalance in humanity, and feel in our bodies the ways that the feminine has been and continues to be harmed.
But to honor our wholeness and welcome everything that we are as life, we cannot extract the masculine from ourselves or from our world. He too is essential. Together we call forward a healthy masculine within us and in our the world, who is here to honor and serve the wild beauty of feminine nature as His purpose, uniting the Queendom and Kingdom in Love.
Gateway vii:
Priestess of the breath of life
Now that we have been initiated through the motherline and feminine nature, the fires of transformation, the waters of forgiveness, the earth of rebirth, and the fatherline of the masculine nature, what does it mean to begin again?
As we enter together through our final doorway of Medicine Women, we do so as a new beginning in honor of the cyclical infinite nature of all life with the Elemental Air Dragon and the sacred medicine of breath.
All life begins and ends with the breath. Breath brings spirit into form and animates the matter of which we are made. Breath bridges the worlds. This mystery of breath has been woven into our ancient mythologies, as a magical gift that can literally bring one back from the dead. Together we receive this breath of life and allow ourselves to emerge into trust for all that has yet to come. We vision the world worth breathing into being.
