Q: Do I need previous experience in this kind of work?
A: We require that you have a foundational basis of inner work through therapy, yoga training, meditation, or other healing modalities. There is an intensity to what we explore together, so please be prepared to hold yourself through waves of emotions, sensation, breakdown and breakthrough. This retreat is not a replacement for therapy, and can bring up a lot of repressed memories and feelings. Please be emotionally and mentally stable to hold yourself with safety and presence within our practices.
Q: Where is the retreat center and how do I get there?
A: Our retreat center Haramara is located an hour north of Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific Coast. Flights arrive in Puerto Vallarta International Airpot (PVR) and we can help you organize transportation to our retreat center through shared group shuttles, Uber, bus, or private car service.
Q: What are the entry requirements for Mexico?
Mexico has been one of the most consistently open countries through the pandemic and currently there are no entry requirements. Many countries require a negative test to return and you can get tested at our retreat center and at the airport. In case we are required to cancel or postpone the event due to borders closing or prohibitive restrictions, we will transfer your full balance to a future retreat.
Q: When should I plan to arrive?
A: We recommend arriving at least a day early to give yourself time to settle in before the retreat begins and to allow for any travel delays. We can recommend hotels and lodging for you if you arrive early and help you organize transport. If you arrive the day of the retreat, please arrive to the airport no later than 1pm. Please wait to book your flights until your application has been approved and payment has been confirmed.
Q: Where can I stay before the retreat begins and after it ends?
A: Closer to the date of the retreat, we will send you our in-depth preparation guide with more details on travel recommendations and invite you to our private group WhatsApp chat where you can coordinate travel plans and connect with other participants if you desire.
Q: Are there payment plans available?
Yes, we have payment plans available, full balance must be paid prior to the retreat. All payments must be fulfilled even if you decide to cancel your space.
Q: Can I share a room if I book alone?
A: Yes. We will pair you with another participant. If you are booking with a friend and would like to be roomed together, please write a note for us on your application form. Please note that on shared rooms prices are per person and not per room.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: All payments are nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you have concerns about cancelling please purchase travel insurance that covers trip cancellation. In the unlikely case that we are required to cancel or postpone the event due to borders closing or prohibitive entry requirements we will transfer your full balance to a future retreat. We are unable to refund travel expenses for any reason, including if we cancel the event.
