Woman…You are
the sacred feminine.

Your body is the holiest of the holies, the ancient throne where all of existence is born. You hold the womb that seeds the child, the yoni that orgasmically births in the world, and the breasts that feed the future of humanity.

Your desire makes fire in the darkness of winter, cracks open the seeds, and calls back the sun. Your eroticism melts the landscape and blooms a wasteland into a forest of apple trees. Your pleasure drenches the rose buds in holy morning dew and quenches nightly petals like the nectar of the moon.

You are Goddess.

And yet…

For thousands of years women have been conditioned to sacrifice our souls, our bodies, our voices, our power, and our gifts for false promises of salvation and survival within a many thousand year cycle of women’s oppression under patriarchy.

We’ve been told the female body is dangerous, not to be trusted, and what makes us separate from God.

We’ve been taught to self abandon, self dishonor, self betray, and most painfully of all, to self forget, to forget the true nature of who and what we are.

In turn, most women have experienced numerous forms of violation trauma from the time we were maidens, struggle to receive the depths of pleasure we really crave, doubt and distrust what we actually want, question our right and worthiness to receive it, and deny our power to create what we truly desire in this lifetime and beyond.

Meanwhile, in countless ways, we look to the “Father” to give us permission.

We look for authority in our spiritual systems. In our political and societal structures. In our lovers and husbands. In the external authorities that promise safety and salvation beyond the dangers of our own wild waves of emotional eroticism.

As long as the body isn’t safe, we seek knowledge outside of ourselves.

It was not always this way.

Our ancestors once bowed to the female body as God, for the womb of a woman births the next generation. A woman’s body was not only a place of child birthing, but was an oracle, a temple, following the rhythms of creation through our moon cycles and life cycles.

Feminine pleasure was once recognized as the essential nectar that fertilizes the land, blesses the crops, and ensures abundance for generations to come. Female sexuality was recognized as the governing force of the culture, not the other way around !!!!

Worshipping the feminine, and in turn the female body, is not a frivolous or “New Age” trend. It has always been an utterly essential truth for honoring the Goddess as the very power of Creation.

Many of us are now standing at the threshold, daring to face, reveal, and remember the illusion shattering realization that everything we’ve been taught to distrust about our womanhood is the very doorway home to Goddess within us.

It is the very doorway to our power.

After thousands of years of forgetting, we’ve finally arrived at the time of our great re-membering.

Goddess is rising once again.

She rises not only in the landscape of our world and in the structures of our society, but within our psyche and our body.

Within our spirituality and our sexuality. Within our desires and heart yearning. Within our pleasure and joyful creating. Within our remembrance of the inherent value of the Feminine as our Mother Earth, as ourselves, as Life.

When we remember, we not only rebirth our own lives, we birth a new world.

This rebirth will come through women choosing to honor ourselves, to honor our bodies, to honor our sexuality, to honor our life, and to trust the wild river of our power as the conduit that unites Heaven and Earth.

That is the power of Awakening Aphrodite within all women, and also within you.

Will you choose it?
