So… why Aphrodite?

Of every Goddess known today, none represents the patriarchal projections of a woman’s sexuality quite like the Greek Venus.

Aphrodite symbolizes at once what a woman should be, and what she never gets to be. What the world lusts after, and what she should shame inside of herself. How the world desires her, but the desires she’s not allowed to have.

As long as Aphrodite stands as a “sex symbol” we remain separated from who and what she ACTUALLY is… the creative power of the Goddess to rebirth her life, body, and all of existence through Her own erotic nature.

Aphrodite can’t be defined by the male gaze. She can only be experienced through the female body.

That’s why in Awakening Aphrodite we return to the ancient feminine regions of our Venusian power, and first meet their patriarchal distortions. We will look into the eyes of the webs of lies we’ve been given, untangle their trappings, and reveal the hidden treasure inside.

The treasures we discover, are in fact our sacred sensual birthrights as women, no matter who society has told us we have the right to want for ourselves.

So whether you think you love Aphrodite or She makes you recoil, I can promise you there’s a vast deep rich power of Goddess hiding inside Her stories, essence, and sheer mystery, that also hides inside of your female body as the Goddess of Love you are.
